چکیده

2 System Design: Philosophy We summarize recent machine translation (MT) research at the Information Sciences Institute of USC, and we describe its application to the development of a Japanese-English newspaper MT system. Our work aims at scaling up grammar-based, knowledge-based MT techniques. This scale-up involves the use of statistical methods, both in acquiring e ective knowledge resources and in making reasonable linguistic choices in the face of knowledge gaps. Integrating CAT and MT in AnglaBharti-II Architecture

Machine translation (MT) is a complex and a difficult task. It is not possible to achieve human competing performance with the present state of technology. Automating the process of translation of natural languages requires a number of knowledge sources and their appropriate invocation in the translation engine. A practical machine translation system with limited resources cannot embody all the...

Automated Corpus Analysis and the Acquisition of Large, Multi-Lingual Knowledge Bases for MT

Although knowledge-based MT systems have the potential to achieve high translation accuracy, each successful application system requires a large amount of hand-coded knowledge (lexicons, grammars, mapping rules, etc.). Systems like KBMT-89 and its descendants have demonstrated how knowledge-based translation can produce good results in technical domains with tractable domain semantics. Neverthe...

Uncertainty analysis of hierarchical granular structures for multi-granulation typical hesitant fuzzy approximation space

Hierarchical structures and uncertainty measures are two main aspects in granular computing, approximate reasoning and cognitive process. Typical hesitant fuzzy sets, as a prime extension of fuzzy sets, are more flexible to reflect the hesitance and ambiguity in knowledge representation and decision making. In this paper, we mainly investigate the hierarchical structures and uncertainty measure...

INTEGRATING CASE-BASED REASONING, KNOWLEDGE-BASED APPROACH AND TSP ALGORITHM FOR MINIMUM TOUR FINDING

Imagine you have traveled to an unfamiliar city. Before you start your daily tour around the city, you need to know a good route. In Network Theory (NT), this is the traveling salesman problem (TSP). A dynamic programming algorithm is often used for solving this problem. However, when the road network of the city is very complicated and dense, which is usually the case, it will take too long fo...
